We do this because between the driver and the guide we trust in our ability to spot jaguars. Many other companies don’t go this up far upriver because they prefer to be within radio calls of other boats. They also do this to save on fuel. • Best drivers in the Pantanal Many of which have 25 years of experience. They get you in the best position to view wildlife! There are so many different levels when it comes to a driver. Our drivers work cohesively with our guides and they understand each other. They have the best eyes for spotting jaguars and incredible knowledge when it comes to understanding behaviours and tracking. One thing is finding a jaguar, but once they disappear into the thick bushes, it is our job to predict where they come out

• Lunch on the river We give you the option to go back to the hotel, however at JWJ, we prefer to eat lunch on the river. It is delivered fresh and it ensures we never miss any action on the river. Jaguars are not like predators in Africa who avoid the hottest part of the day. Jaguars can be very active during this time as this is when there are more caiman exposed. JWJ is the only company to witness three kills in the space of one hour. This was between 12:00 and 1:00 pm when there were no other boats on the river

• JWJ is exclusive and personalised We have a video call with all our guests before the tour to match you with the best guide based on your wants, needs and personality
